In the online marketing world, content marketing is extremely important. The ultimate goal of any form of business content is to get and keep more customers and that makes sense because companies want to grow or at least survive.
Company content includes all documents, texts, images, audio and video of your company.
There are several reasons for what can be done with content and why it is important. One of them becomes clear in our page about link building where links are shared with quality content so that a website can be found more easily.
This page talks about how to get new ideas and best practices for different types of content.
To convince people it is important to realize that people are mainly influenced by their needs and the emotions that go with them. It is therefore important to think about which emotion you want to evoke in the advertisement, which can be both positive and negative, because negative emotions can convey a strong message to achieve something positive (think of the packaging of tobacco).
Below you will find a number of tips that generally apply to content on blogs, social media and in advertisements with specific tips for the individual channels.
A blog is about a topic with several sub-topics, this topic is described in as much detail as possible. A rule of thumb is more than 1000 words and preferably more than 2000. Work with images and preferably also a video that explains the same as the text.
The rules for social media posts differ per social media platform. For Facebook you may use 2000 letters per post and for Twitter only 140. But in general the same tips apply to social media:
Below you will find a number of tips for developing new content.
For example, the subject of entrepreneurship consists of many sub-topics. Choose the topics that your company is about and think of the sub-topics that go with it and that are interesting for your target group to know.
An example
1. Start Business
2. Acquisition
3. Production
4. Administration
These sub-topics can then be subdivided into even smaller topics and this can continue until the sub-topics are exhausted.
Often things have already been described on your website, but not everyone will read everything on your website. Therefore, use existing content and use it for social media channels.
What kind of feedback do you get from the customer, what do they wonder. What don't they understand? Use this information to come up with new ideas.
Especially with a product that has a lot of competition, this strategy is useful to get new ideas for content. What kind of content do they make on different marketing channels and which statements are successful, which are not. Your competitor is a treasure trove of valuable information, handy!
